EDTC 5103- Advanced Computing Applications in Education
In this course, we learned about identifying, evaluating, and incorporating computer applications with the help of the TIM-matrix. I worked on a couple of different projects within the course using AI and AR applications. For my AI project, I designed an educational module on AI for the college students I work with. To accomplish this, I used prompts in ChatGPT to help design the framework for the module. I then expanded on these frameworks, and I created a prompting guide for students as well as an interactive slideshow of AI tools. For the second project, using AR I designed a Scavenger Hunt on Student Success resources around campus using HaloAR. Students can access the scavenger hunt and scan the area with the app to find helpful information on each service.
AR Scavenger Hunt
Students were able to scan the QR code and go on a HALO AR Scavenger Hunt. The scavenger hunt would take them to a variety of resources on campus that promote student success. Each “Halo” had an informational flier and/or resources.
Using AI to Maximize Efficiency Module Overview
I created a prompt in ChatGPT to help create a framework for this module on student uses for AI. Module topics include AI Ethics, uses, prompting, and tools.
