EDTC 5303- Digital Games and Simulations in the Classroom

In this course I learned the valuable role that Gamification can play in education. We had engaging discussions and projects to demonstrate how gamification is implemented and used in daily life. At the end, I had the opportunity to create my own Gamification plan. I chose to create a critical thinking game for undergraduate students. The game is designed to increase Academic Persistence and takes students through a variety of obstacles that they may face during their time as an undergraduate student.

A Series of Unfortunate Events- A Game on Academic Persistence

This is a card-based game designed to be played in small groups. Players have the opportunity to earn badges and trophies throughout the game, and they are encouraged to discuss the scenarios to promote teamwork.
