EDTC 5720: Introduction to Assistive Technology

This course focused on assistive technology resources. It required me to consider not only the need for assistive technology, but also the costs associated. I learned how to locate Assistive Technology Resources to help mitigate costs, and identify different levels of assistive technology. The course also had an emphasis on Universal Design for Learning, and I learned how to apply this methodology to instructional material. For our final project, we had to create a representation of the research topic we chose. I did research on how higher education can best support Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices. Then I compiled this research into a website on the topic.
